Jumièges Abbey — Normandy Founded in the 7th century on the banks of the Seine, Jumièges became one of the great Benedictine abbeys of Normandy. Centuries of destruction left its architecture open to the elements — stone, shadow and light now defining the space once enclosed by its walls.
