Above the Silence
Above the Silence High on the TransBucegi, the landscape becomes sparse. The forests fall away, the roads grow distant, and the vast plateau seems to absorb almost every sound. Alone beneath a heavy Carpathian sky, a horse stands quietly on the slope — a dark silhouette suspended between grass and cloud. There is no grand gesture here. Just an animal, a mountainside, and that particular stillness found at altitude, when the weather closes in and the rest of the world seems very far away. Some landscapes don’t need a horizon to feel endless.
